I’m new to therapy, what should I expect?

Welcome! I’m extremely proud of you for taking a major step towards your healing. My way of providing therapy is not a “one size fits all” process. I provide individualized care based on the client need. Prior to an initial session, we will conduct a consultation call where we’ll discuss your motivation for seeking therapy and the key areas in which you are in need of support. Before we begin your first session, you will receive a link via email with necessary intake documents that need to be completed before therapy can begin. Once completed, we embark on your journey to healing!

Do you offer in-person therapy?

Currently, I’m only providing telehealth services. I utilize a HIPAA compliant system that is secure and appropriate for telehealth services. I will update this FAQ page in the event that I offer in-person services in the future.

Do you accept insurance?

I am not paneled with any insurance plans at this time. For individuals with insurance, I am able to provide a superbill for potential reimbursement of services. If you are interested in superbills, I recommend that you first speak with your insurance company and discuss what your out-of-network options are.

What is your cancellation policy?

I currently have a 24-hour cancellation policy. Clients are responsible for the entire session fee in the event of a no-show or a session that is canceled with less than 24-hours notice.

How do I pay for sessions?

Clients can pay for services using a credit card or debit card. I utilize a credit card processing system that is HIPAA compliant.

I live in Florida, can I be seen for therapy?

Currently, I only offer therapy services to clients who reside within the state of California. I will provide an update when other states become available for services.

How much do you charge for sessions?

My services range from $175-$200. I typically hold a few sliding scale slots for clients who cannot meet the expense of my session fee. If interested in sliding scale services, please contact me via email at maya@mayajacksonlcsw.com to inquire about sliding scale availability.
